Sweet Potato Chaat Recipe - Shakarkandi ki Chaat Recipe | Nisha Madhulika

Sweet potato is a tangy chaat recipe with sweet potatoes mingled with few spices and lime juice. This shakarkandi chaat makes a delicious snack for fasts.

Ingredients

Sweet potatoes – 2
Sweet sauce
green chilly sauce
Green coriander (finely chopped)
Roasted cumin powder
Black salt
Lemon – 1

Directions

Making:

1.Take sweet potatoes and 1 to 2 tbsp of water in a polythene bag and tie the bag with a loose knot. Microwave the potatoes for 7 minutes on highest temperature.

2.Later, transfer the sweet potatoes in a bowl and allow them to cool down completely. Peel and cut the potatoes into ½ inch thick chunks.

3.Add ½ tsp black salt, ½ tsp roasted cumin powder, ½ tsp green chilly sauce, 2 tsp sweet chutney, 1 tsp lemon juice and some chopped green coriander in the sweet potatoes and mix everything really well. Sweet potato chaat is ready, transfer it on a serving plate.

Serving:

4.Garnish this sweet and tangy sweet potato chaat with some black salt, roasted cumin powder, sweet chutney and some green coriander sprigs and serve.

Suggestion

If you want then you can boil the sweet potatoes in the same way as potatoes.
