Taco Sev Puri | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

The Indian Sev Puri gets a Mexican influence in this recipe.

TACO SEV PURI

Ingredients

8 hard taco shells
1 large potato, boiled, peeled and cut into ½ inch pieces
1 small tomato, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tsp green chutney
1 tbsp date and tamarind chutney
Salt to taste
½ tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp finely chopped raw mango
1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves + for garnish
Sev as required
Pomegranate pearls for garnish

Method

1. In a large bowl, add potato, tomato, onion and mash the mixture. Mix well.
2. Add green chutney, date and tamarind chutney, salt, chaat masala, raw mango and chopped coriander. Mix well.
3. Take a taco shell and place a portion of the prepared mixture into it. Coat the edges with sev and place it on a serving plate.
4. Garnish with pomegranate pearls and chopped coriander. Serve immediately.
