Andhra style fish curry, well blended with tamarind sauce and other spices and can be served as a Side-Dish.TAMARIND SAUCE FISH CURRY Ingredients For Marination400 grams surmai fish fillet Salt to taste ¼ teaspoon turmeric (haldi) powder½ teaspoon red chilli powder2 teaspoons lime juiceFor Curry 2 tablespoons oil ½ teaspoon cumin (jeera) seeds1 medium onion, finely chopped2 ½ tablespoons tamarind (imli) paste½ teaspoon red chilli powder1 teaspoon coriander powder¼ teaspoon turmeric (haldi) powderSalt to tasteCrushed black pepper to tasteCoriander for garnish Method1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add cumin seeds, roast till fragrant. 2. Add onions and sauté till translucent, add garlic paste and sauté till fragrant. 3. Add tamarind paste, stir and mix well. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and crushed black pepper, stir well and add water as required for the curry. 4. Add the fish pieces, sprinkle coriander on top.5. Transfer the fish pieces to a serving plate, pouring the gravy from top. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
