In a pot heat water and add cumin seeds, salt, green cardamom, star anise and bring it to a boil.2. Add rice and boil until its 80% done. Strain and set aside.Directions for Biryani Preparation:3. In a pot heat oil and add onion. Cook until brown.4. Add garlic, ginger and cook for a minute.5. Now add black pepper, green cardamom, black cardamom, cinnamon sticks, cumin seeds and cook for 2-3 mins.6. Add chicken and cook until chicken changes color.7. Add green chili paste, coriander powder, salt, white pepper powder and mix it well.8. Add yogurt and cook for 2-3 mins. Add dried plum and cover and cook until chicken is fully done.9. Add boiled rice, green coriander, mint leaves, lemon slices, green chilies and kewra water.10. Cover and steam over low flame for 10-12 mins.
