Tasty Tater Tot Casserole

Tater tot casserole combines some of our absolute favorite things: potatoes, meat, and of course, cheese! Its the ultimate comfort food that you can whip up when you dont feel like cooking but want to please the whole family.

Ingredients

1 1/2 - 2 pounds ground beef
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium white onion, diced
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 (14.5 ounce) can corn, drained
1 (14.5 ounce can) green beans, drained
32 ounces frozen tater tots
2 cups cheddar cheese, to top

Instructions

1 Cook ground beef in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Add in onion and saut until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

2 Add in 2 tablespoons butter and let fully melt before adding in flour. Stir until well mixed and let cook for 1-2 minutes.

3 Pour in the beef broth, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer. Add in corn and green beans. Stir occasionally until the sauce thickens.

4 Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan.

5 Spread meat and vegetable mixture into the bottom of the pan. Top with a layer of frozen tater tots. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.

6 Bake in a 350 degree oven, uncovered, until cheese is warm and bubbly, about 25 minutes.
