Ambient Cafe - To begin with, we headed to Ambient Cafe, one of the Western style cafes in the heart of Thimphu. They also roast their own coffee - I thought their coffee was excellent.Tibet Kitchen - For lunch we went to Tibet Kitchen restaurant in Thimphu to eat Tibetan food. The food was amazing, and I especially enjoyed the Sichuan pepper and chili sauce to garnish my dishes.Thai Food - For dinner we went to a Thai restaurant in Thimphu. To be honest the Thai food was pretty bad, but it is pretty amazing that you can even get Thai food in Thimphu. I would recommend sticking with local Bhutanese, Indian, and Tibetan food when you’re in Bhutan.Disclosure:It was an honor to be invited by MyBhutan to visit Bhutan to explore Bhutanese food and culture.
