Tuna Cakes | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Tuna, boiled eggs and potatoes mixed together to make these delicious shallow fried tuna cakes. A must try !

TUNA CAKES

Ingredients

1 cup tinned tuna
1 medium onion
2 garlic cloves
4 eggs, boiled
2 medium potatoes, boiled and peeled
Salt to taste
1 tsp schezwan chutney
Oil for greasing and shallow-frying
4-5 salad leaves
Micro greens for garnishing

Method

1. Cut onion into quarters. Roughly chop garlic cloves and put both in a grinder jar. Cut eggs into halves, add to the jar and grind into a coarse mixture. Transfer mixture into a bowl.
2. Strain excess liquid from tuna and to the ground egg mixture. Grate potatoes into it, add salt and mix well. Add schezwan chutney and mix well. Refrigerate the mixture till chilled.
3. Grease your palms with oil.
4. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.
5. Divide the tuna mixture into equal portions and shape them into small cakes. Place these cakes on the pan and shallow-fry till golden from both sides.
6. Tear salad leaves and place on a serving platter. Put tuna cakes on it, garnish with some micro greens and serve hot.
