Turai Ke Pakode | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Turai slices dipped into gram flour batter and deep fried to make these delicious pakodas.

TURAI KE PAKODE

Ingredients

2 ridge gourd (turai)
2-3 tablespoons oil + for deep-frying
1 cup gram flour
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
Salt to taste
Chaat masala for sprinkling

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Cut ridge gourd into roundels.
3. Combine gram flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and 3
tablespoons warm oil alongwith some water to make a
smooth batter.
4. Put ridge gourd roundels into the prepared batter and mix well.
5. Deep-fry each roundel into hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain in
absorbent paper.
6. Sprinkle some chaat masala on the pakodas and serve hot.
