Move on regular fries! We got some Turnip Fries in town! These are not even deep fried but air fried till crisp and tasty!

TURNIP FRIES

Ingredients

3-4 turnips (shalgham)
Olive oil for drizzling
Greek yogurt to serve
Spice mix
½ tsp red chilli flakes
½ tsp dried mixed herbs
Salt to taste
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp dried mango powder (amchur)

Method

1. Peel and cut the turnips into 2 inch thick strips.
2. Preheat the air-fryer at 180ºC. Transfer the turnips into the air fryer basket, drizzle some olive oil and place it in the preheated air fryer and cook for 20-25 minutes or till done.
3. To make the spice mix, put red chilli flakes in a mortar along with dried mixed herbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried mango powder and crush it with a pestle.
4. Remove the turnip fries and transfer into a bowl. Sprinkle some of the spice mix and toss well.
5. Arrange the fries on a serving plate and serve with Greek yogurt.
