In a pot heat water and add daal chana and turmeric powder. Boil until 90% done. Reserve 1 cup of lentil water for later use.Directions for Daal Chana Palak Preparation:2. In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds and sizzle for a minute.3. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.4. Add tomato puree and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili flakes, salt and mix it well.5. Add boiled daal chana and reserved lentil water. 6. Add spinach and cook for 5-10 minutes.7. Now cover and cook for 10-15 mins.8. Dish it out and garnish it with green chilies and green coriander.
