VEGETABLE MANCHURIAN WITH SOYA- CHILLI SAUCE

Ingredients

2 medium raw bananas, boiled and mashed
2 tablespoons cabbage, finely chopped
2-3 French beans (farsi), finely chopped
1 medium green capsicum, finely chopped
2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnishing
Black pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon chilli flakes
½ teaspoon dried ginger powder (saunth)
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon corn flour
1 tablespoon refined flour (maida)
Soya-chilli sauce for topping
Soya- chilli sauce
2 tablespoons chilli sauce
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons soya sauce
Black pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon dried ginger powder (saunth)
Salt to taste
¼ teaspoon chilli flakes

Method

1. To make Manchurian balls, mix together steamed raw bananas, cabbage, French beans, green capsicum, green chillies, coriander, black pepper, ¼ teaspoon chilli flakes, ¼ dried ginger powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Add corn flour and refined flour, mix well with hands.
2. Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Divide the mixture into equal portions and deep-fry until golden-brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
3. To make soya-chilli sauce, heat another pan. Add chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, soya sauce, and little water, mix well. Add black pepper, remaining dried ginger powder, salt and remaining chilli flakes, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.
4. Skew Manchurian balls on satay sticks and top with soya-chilli sauce.
5. Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
