Interesting Breakfast Options! Sabudana & Maggie being keywords!!
Sabudana khichdi is a very popular breakfast option - but it’s always a challenge to make it non-sticky. So here’s my recipe that’s almost non-sticky.
Sabudana Khichdi
Ingredients:
Sabudana/sago - 1 cup
Groundnuts - ½ cup
Boiled potatoes - 2
Green chiliies - 2
Ginger - 1 inch
Jeera/cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 handful
Coriander leaves - ½ bunch
Coarsely ground black pepper - to taste
Salt - as reqd
Oil - few tsps
Method:
Wash sabudana thoroughly well in water 2 or 3 times till all the starch disappears and the water is clear
Drain the sabudana of the water into a colander and keep it overnight
Dry roast the groundnuts and grind them coarsely in a blender - keep aside
Chop green chillies, ginger and coriander leaves and keep aside
Cut the boiled potatoes and keep aside
Heat a wide pan or wok
Splutter jeera/cumin seeds
Add the chopped green chillies, ginger and curry leaves and saute
Add the chopped potatoes and stir fry adding some more oil if reqd
Now, add the coarsely ground groundnuts powder and toss together
Then add the drained sabudana and toss over lightly together with all the other ingredients in the pan
Add salt and black pepper powder - toss
Add lemon juice and mix lightly
Enjoy Sabudana Khichdi for a nourishing breakfast
Everybody loves Dosas - but the repetitive combo of Dosa-chutney, Dosa-sambar, Masala Dosa maybe irksome for those who make as well for those who eat. So, here comes #SujanFunKitchen with another #EasyAndHealthy recipe of #MaggiDosa
Maggi Dosa
Ingredients:
Dosa Batter - as reqd
Maggi packet - 1 single
Oil -few tsps
Onions - 1 medium
Tomatoes - 1 medium
Coriander leaves - as reqd
Pav bhaji masala - 1 tsp
Maggi tastemaker - 1 packet
Method:
Chop onion and tomatoes and keep aside
Heat oil in a pan
Add the chopped onion and stir fry till translucent
Then add the chopped tomatoes and saute
Now add 1 cup of water and allow to boil
When the water is boiling well add the Pav bhaji masala and the Maggi tastemaker
Then, break the maggi and add
Keep cooking till the right consistency is reached
Switch off the flame
Now heat a dosa griddle
Add a ladle of dosa batter and spread - not very thin
When the Dosa turns slightly golden from the sides, add the Maggi Noodles on top and spread carefully all over
After just half a minute or so, roll the Maggi Dosa
Serve Maggi Dosa Piping hot with tomato ketchup
