Water Hemlock (Cicuta maculata) grows throughout the U.S. and Canada. In some western states and parts of Canada there is a western variety, Cicuta douglasii. Its toxin, cicutoxin, can cause delirium, nausea, convulsions, abdominal pain, seizures, and vomiting within 60 minutes of ingestion.More information:https://www.fs.fed.us/wildflowers/plant-of-the-week/cicuta_maculata.shtmlWater Hemlock Poisoning:https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00026056.htm#:~:text=The%20plant%20is%20poisonous%20at,distress%20within%2015%2D90%20minutes.Poison Hemlock ID - https://blogs.cornell.edu/weedid/poison-hemlock/#waterhemlock #poisonhemlock #poisonousplants
