What Kind of Melon is This?

CG bought a melon and we tried it out. If you know what kind of melon this is, let us know. The dude at the Farmers Market said it was a Thai melon, but I'm not sure what that means--it looks like a Golden melon. It sat around for about 10 days before we tried it; it was underwhelming.
