Wonton Cups | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Baked wonton cups stuffed with spicy cottage cheese mixture. A great snack recipe for your party evenings.

WONTON CUPS

Ingredients

8 wonton sheets
2 spring onion bulbs
150 gms cottage cheese
1½ tbsps sweet red chilli sauce
2 tsps brown sugar
1 tsp vinegar
Salt to taste
1½ tsps sesame oil
Few fresh coriander sprigs
½ tsp toasted black sesame seeds + for garnishing
Olive oil for spraying
4 chives

Method

1. Heat a Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT).
2. Roughly chop spring onion bulbs. Cut cottage cheese into small cubes.
3. Combine red chilli sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, salt and sesame oil in a bowl.
4. Finely chop coriander sprigs and add to the bowl, mix well.
5. Add chopped spring onion bulbs and cottage cheese cubes and mix well. Add sesame seeds and mix well.
6. Spray olive oil into aluminium muffin moulds, place the wonton sheets in them and press so that they stick. Spray some more olive oil on top.
7. Put prepared moulds in the Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT), cover and let the wonton cups turn golden and crisp.
8. Chop chives.
9. Remove the moulds from the Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT), demould and cool the cups.
10. Place the cups on a serving platter. Spoon in the cottage cheese mixture into them, garnish with chopped chives and sesame seeds and serve immediately.
