1929 Chocolate Delights Recipe - Old Cookbook Show - Glen And Friends CookingThis recipe is from the 1929 printing of the Racine Journal-News Cook Book. These are Depression era recipes from the Racine Journal - News newspaper cookery section.Ingredients:2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate3 eggs ½ cupful (4 ounces) butter1 level cupful (½ pound) sugar1 level teaspoonful baking powder¾ cupful (3 ounces) flour½ level teaspoonful salt1 teaspoonful vanilla extract1 level cupful (¼ pound) chopped English walnut meatsMethod:Grate chocolate and beat eggs slightly. Melt butter, add chocolate, eggs, sugar, extract, flour sifted with baking powder and salt, and add nut meats.
