1941 One Skillet Spaghetti And Meatballs Recipe - Old Cookbook Show
This recipe is from the 1941 Boston Edison Company Home Service Division; providing recipes that you could cook using electric ranges and electric refrigerators.

Skillet Meal
Italian Meat Balls & Spaghetti
½ lb ground beef
½ lb ground veal
½ cup bread crumbs in ½ cup hot milk
Salt and pepper
1 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp grated onion
Clove of garlic if desired

Combine ingredients & form into small meat balls. In skillet, on large surface unit of electric range, melt 4 Tbsp fat. Brown meat in fat. Add 1 onion diced. 1 green pepper, sliced& 1 cup chopped celery. Cook on high heat for 5 min. Add 3 cups tomatoes, 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce & on top ½ box uncooked spaghetti. Use fork to immerse spaghetti in liquid. Cover and bring to boiling point on high & turn to low to finish. Turn out on large platter. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
