3 Spiced Hostess Gifts

Mulling Spices for Wine or Apple Cider
For each sachet:
1 tbsp dried orange zest
10 cardamom pods
1 small cinnamon stick
1 star anise
3-5 whole cloves
1 tsp peppercorns

For the mulled wine or apple cider:
In a heavy bottom saucepan or a slowcooker, combine wine with ¼
cup sugar and ¼
brandy (optional). Add mulling spice sachet and allow it to steep on
low for 1-2 hours.

Chai Tea
1 cup black tea
20 cardamom pods
1 small cinnamon stick
2 tsp peppercorns
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp coriander
1 tsp whole cloves
2 tsp candied ginger

Herbes de Provence
5 tbsp thyme
5 tbsp rosemary
3 tbsp savory
2 tbsp marjoram
1 tbsp dried lavender (optional)
