Aaron's China Guide E14 - 抄手 - Spicy wontons in chili oil | Aaron Sawich

This time, I go back to Wanda plaza in the Nanping district of Chongqing for some spicy wontons in chili oil. Wonton in Chinese is yun tun 云吞 or hun tun 馄饨. I went to the Chengdu snacks restaurant because their spicy wontons are tasty. In Sichuan and Chongqing, it's known as chao shou 抄手 which means crossed arms. The version I got was called hong you chao shou 红油抄手 which are wontons dressed in a spicy and garlicky ma la sauce. A great snack food and very cheap too. Spicy ma la 麻辣 flavor and meaty dumplings are a great combination. I hope you enjoy the Chinese food eating video from Aaron's China Guide.
