The Nigerian Doughnut is basically the Old fashioned Yeast raised kind of Doughnut and it is often fried just like the Nigerian Puff puff and not baked. Here is the question I get asked a lot Can the Nigerian doughnuts be baked? I would really advice frying them if you want to make this recipe, its very likely you will not like the outcome if you bake them as the recipe for baked doughnuts is much different.

In Nigeria the Doughnut we usually make is the Basic old fashioned Yeast Raised Doughnut and here are the list of ingredients I used

3 to 31/2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Milk
11/2 Tbsp Yeast (2 packages)
2 Eggs
4 Tablespoons melted Butter
pinch of salt if you are not using salted butter
Oil for frying
Jam or jelly for filling(optional)

I use the standard US standard measuring cup for my all my measurements and you can check for the unit conversion on this link
