അസ്ത്രം || Asthram || Traditional Kerala Healthy FoodIngredients -------------------Taro root(chembu)- 3(cut in large pieces )Raw plantain-2(cut in large pieces )Yam(Chena)-2cup(cut in large pieces Red cow beans-1/2cupTurmeric powder-3/4 tspCurry leaves-fewSalt - To saltFor the paste(Coarsly ground adding little water)-----------------------Coconut-3/4 cupGarlic - 3(small)Green chilly-6Cumin seeds -11/2tspCurry Leaves - fewTadka------------Coconut oil-2tbspMustard seeds-1tspDry chilly-3Curry leaves-fewShallots - 8-10(sliced)Coconut (grated)-1cupMethod--------------In a pressure cooker, add the plantain pieces, Taro root, yam, red cow beans, turmeric powder, salt and enough waterCook untill one whistle (*cook untill 2whistle if you need the pieces to get mashed)Mash the pieces with the ladleNow add the coconut paste and mix well and cook till it starts boilingand turn off the flameIn a pan add coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds, dry chillu, curry leaves, shallots and coconut Fry till golden brown and add it to the curry and close with a lid for 5minutes After 5minutes open and give a good mixAsthram is ready to be serve with hot kanji #Asthram #Kerala #Cooking #Indian #Recipe
