I arrived at Phuket Airport last night at 6:00pm after 4 weeks in Australia and had been craving Thai food for weeks, so we called past one of our favourite restaurants in Phang Nga, Som Tam Yok Krok on the way home, to indulge in some delicious and authentic Thai Isaan food. The Google Maps coordinates for Som Tam Yok Krok Thai Isaan restaurant are: 8.428365, 98.528285 it is roughly halfway between Phuket and Krabi.Som Tam Yok Krok is a Thai restaurant which is very popular with the locals, selling food from the area known as Isaan in the the north-east of Thailand. Isaan food is very popular throughout Thailand, its one of my favourite types of authentic Thai food and I believe youll find some of the best Thai dishes at a Thai restaurant like this. We got a huge spread of food, as seen in the video. The cost of the meal in this video was 780 baht, about $22.94 US, including drinks. Youll find Isaan restaurants all over Thailand, even though the food is originally from the north-east.
