Bacon Wrapped Prunes | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Prunes stuffed with feta cheese, wrapped with bacon rashers and baked - this one is the perfect balance of flavours and textures in each mouthful.

BACON WRAPPED PRUNES - (Serves - 4)

Ingredients

8-12 bacon strips
8-12 prunes, pitted
½ cup feta cheese
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
1 teaspoon mixed fresh herbs
1 teaspoon chopped garlic

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Combine feta cheese, crushed peppercorns, chilli flakes, mixed herbs and garlic in a bowl and mix.
3. Make cavity in each prune using the back of a brush.
4. Fill a piping bag with feta cheese mixture and pipe into prunes.
5. Wrap each stuffed prune with a bacon strip, place them on a plate and secure with toothpicks. Place them on a baking tray.
6. Put the baking tray in preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.
7. Serve hot.
