Bajra Halwa #MilletKhazana Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Bajra halwa is a sweet dish made from pearl millet (bajra) flour, ghee and sugar. It is a traditional dessert that is popular in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is typically served during festivals and special occasions.

BAJRE KA HALWA

Ingredients

1 cups pearl millet (bajra) flour
cup ghee
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp slivered almonds
1 tbsp slivered pistachios
tsp green cardamom powder

Method

1. Heat cup ghee in still pan, add pearl millet flour, and saut for 8-10 minutes or till fragrant.
2. Add 4 cups water and mix till well combined. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes.
3. Add sugar, slivered almonds and slivered pistachios and green cardamom powder and mix well.
4. Add remaining ghee and mix well. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes.
5. Transfer in serving bowl. Sprinkle almond and pistachios on top and serve warm.
