2 cups flour
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup butter, at room temperature
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup mashed banana
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup milk

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter. Gradually, pour in the sugar and eggs. Mix in the banana and vanilla. Mix in half of the flour mixture. Add the milk and mix until smooth. Mix in the remaining flour mixture. Transfer batter to a well greased loaf pan and bake at 350ºF for about an hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 ½ tsp ground nutmeg
1 ½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp salt
⅔ cup butter or shortening
1 ½ cups light brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 tbsp fancy molasses
1 cup chopped raisins
¼ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, spices and salt. Set aside. In another large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Once light and fluffy, add the eggs and molasses. Gradually, add the flour mixture and mix until combined. Stir in the raisins and walnuts. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto two parchment lined baking sheets. Bake at 350ºF for about 15 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.

1 ½ cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup sugar
⅓ cup brown sugar
¼ cup butter
½ cup peanut butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Peanut Butter Frosting:
1 cup icing sugar
¼ cup peanut butter
¼-½ cup milk

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In another large bowl, cream together the sugar, brown sugar, butter and peanut butter. Add the eggs, milk and vanilla extract and mix until well combined. Add flour mixture into the peanut butter mixture and mix well. Transfer to a well greased or parchment lined square pan and bake at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes. To make peanut butter frosting, mix together the icing sugar, peanut butter and add milk until you reach the desired consistency. Once the squares have cooled, top with frosting.
