This year I missed the Ramzan food festival at mosque road because of the coronavirus and so I decided to improvise and make this Mosque road and Shivajinagar style beef chops (Phal/ Phatar Gosht) which came out absolutely delicious,

It is important to ask your butcher to slice the meat and give it to you because they know how to do it better. Be gentle while tenderizing the meat and make sure to marinate the meat for at least 3 hours.

The Phal takes 12-15 minutes to cook and you will need to keep turning it every 2-3 minutes. Another important thing is to check if the meat is cooked and ensure that it doesn't get overcooked. This depends on the cut of meat that you buy. I usually buy ribs or the leg portion.
