Bangda Fry , a dish to die for, this recipe does complete justice to this mouth-watering Maharastrian dish!

BANGDA FRY

Ingredients

4 medium Indian mackarel fish (bangda), halved horizontally
2-3 tablespoons coriander leaves-garlic paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon mixed masala
Oil for deep-frying
1 cup semolina (rawa/suji)

Method

1. Place fish pieces on a plate. Add coriander leaves-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and mixed masala and mix well.
2. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.
3. Spread semolina on a plate and coat marinated fish pieces.
4. Place the marinated fish pieces in hot oil and shallow-fry from both sides till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Serve hot.
