BEEF TONGUE- Traditional Turkish Dish
In this episode, I'd like to share with you, my family's traditional and
simple Beef Tongue recipe. It is extremely easy to prepare,
yet so delicious and tender. Plus, there are no bones, it's all about meat :)

INGREDIENTS
1 Beef tongue
2 cups water
1 tsp salt
Dried thyme, cumin, black pepper, paprika
Pressure cooker

DIRECTIONS
Rinse tongue and place in pressure cooker.
Add 2 cups of water, 1 tsp salt and bring it to boil on high heat.
With a metal spoon, get rid of all the foam before attaching
the lid for safety of your pressure cooker :)
Cafefully turn the meat and repeat the process then put the lid on and lock.
Be very careful following instructions about attaching the lid securely, quickly reducing steam pressure, and opening the pot when cooking is completed!
Follow the instruction booklet, lower the heat to the lowest possible setting and cook for 1,5 hours.
Turn off the heat and do not touch the pot for at least 15 minutes!
Open the pot, transfer the tongue to a bowl and let cool
until you are able to handle.
Peel off skin, the skin should come off easily.
Slice (trim the fat off) and place on a serving plate.
It can be served hot or cold as desired.
Serve with dried thyme, cumin, black pepper and/or paprika.
