Best Bhoger Khichudi - Bengali Vegetable Khichdi By Kalyan - Durga Puja Ashtami Special Khichudi | India Food Network

This Durga Puja, Kalyan prepares a Bengali favourite - Ashtami Bhoger Khichudi (Vegetable Rice). Authentic and delicious, this recipe is very quick and easy. Watch this video to learn how to cook Bhoger Khichudi at home!

Use the following ingredients to learn how to make Bhoger Khichudi at home:
1 and 1/2 cups of rice
2 cups moong dal (yellow lentils)
3 tbsps green peas
5-6 cauliflowers florets
2 potatoes cut into half
1 tbsp ghee
2-3 bay leaves
2 dry red chillies
1 tsp of jeera (cumin seeds)
1 tbsp mix of cloves, cinnamon and cardamom
2 green chillies
1 tsp finely chopped ginger

For the Khichudi curry
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp of haldi (turmeric powder)
1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of sugar
