Best Pithla By Archana | Maharashtrian Pithla Recipe | India Food Network

Pithla is a favourite food for many Maharashtrians, to make Pithla, one needs only a few ingredients and it takes only ten minutes to cook the best Pithla! Serve with bhakri or plain steamed rice, this Best Pithla dish is the food equivalent for a warm hug from Mom (or Grandmom!)

You will require the following ingredients to cook Pithla at home:

• 1 bowl chana (chickpea) powder
• 1 tbsp mix masala
• Coriander for garnish
• 2 onions, finely chopped
• Salt to taste
• 1 tbsp ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
• 1/2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
• 1/4 Haldi (turmeric)
• Water
• Oil
