Ingredients:

Betel leaves - as reqd

Gram flour - 3 measures

Rice flour - ½ measure

Maida - ¼ cup

Red chilli powder - to taste

Asaefotida - to taste

Baking soda - ¼ tsp (few pinches)

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

Method:

Add all the dry ingredients to a bowl

Then add water little by little, briskly whisking

Make a thick smooth batter

Heat oil for deep frying; medium flame please

Dip the Betel leaf in the batter 

Gently place it in the hot oil

Fry till golden on both sides

Serve with coconut chutney
