A bubble waffle ice cream cone is as adorable as it sounds. It's basically the prodigal food-child of Hong Kong's increasingly popular egg waffle and a bubble waffle maker. Cauldron Ice Cream created this magical combo (also known as the Puffle Cone) last year and has caused a dessert-frenzy in the sweet-tooth community since then. Here's our version, so you can make it at home.RECIPE: Birthday Bubble Waffle Ice Creme ConeAdapted from Cucina ProFor the Funfetti bubble waffle:3 egg yolks3/4 cup milk1 tablespoon vanilla extract6 tablespoons butter, melted3/4 cup sugar1 1/4 cups flour1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/8 teaspoon salt2 tablespoons jimmies sprinkles6 egg whites, beaten to medium peaksGarnish:Birthday cake ice creamChocolate magic shellMini cupcakesPockyAnimal cookiesSprinkles Whipped creamCherries Special equipment:Bubble waffle maker - http://www.amazon.com/Bubble-Waffle-Maker-Cucina-Pro/dp/B00BM6A69QIn a bowl, whisk together egg yolks, milk, vanilla, butter, and sugar until combined.
