Bread Pakoda Chaat Buttery Corn Chaat Monsoon ka Mazza Episode 6 Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Baarish ke mausam mein street side chaat khane ka mazza hi kuch aur hota hai! Lekin safety ka dar bhi sabko hota hai. That's why I'm bringing two easy, street style chaat recipes to you - Bread Pakoda Chaat and Buttery Corn Chaat!

BREAD PAKODA CHAAT

Ingredients

6 bread slices
1 cups gram flour
Salt to taste
tsp red chilli powder + to sprinkle
tsp turmeric powder
2 green chillies, chopped
tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
A pinch of baking soda
1 medium onion, chopped + for garnish
2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander
Oil for deep frying
Sweetened yogurt to drizzle
Date and tamarind chutney to drizzle
Green chutney to drizzle
Cumin powder to sprinkle
Chaat masala to sprinkle
Fresh pomegranate pearls as required
Masala peanuts as required
Nylon sev as required
Chopped fresh coriander for garnish

Method

1. Take gram flour in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, green chillies, carom seeds, baking soda and onion.
2. Add cup water and mix well. Add coriander and mix well.
3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip bread slices in the prepared batter and deep fry till golden brown and crisp.
4. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside. Cut into small pieces and transfer in serving plate.
5. Drizzle sweetened yogurt, date and tamarind chutney and green chutney on top. Sprinkle remaining onion, red chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala, pomegranate pearls, masala peanuts and nylon sev on top.
6. Sprinkle coriander and serve.

BUTTTERY CORN CHAAT

Ingredients

2 cups corn kernel
4 tbsps butter
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
tsp chaat masala
1 tsp black salt
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
2 tbsps freshly chopped coriander leaves
1 green chilli, chopped
1 lemon
Coriander sprig for garnish

Method

1. Heat sufficient water in non-stick pan, add corn kernels, salt, mix well and cook till corn kernels are completely done.
2. Combine together cooked corn kernels, butter, red chilli powder,chaat masala, sprinkle black salt, salt crushed black, coriander, green chillies, squeeze lemon and mix well.
3. Garnish with coriander spring and serve immediately.
