A perfect combo for a delicious dish!BREADED CHICKEN WITH GARLIC SAUCEIngredients Coarse breadcrumbs for coating450 grams boneless chicken breasts, cut into thick strips2 teaspoons red chilli flakesCrushed black peppercorns to tasteSalt to taste2 tablespoons chopped garlic2 teaspoons soy sauce1 tablespoon oil + for deep-frying1 tablespoon cornstarch1 spring onion greens, finely chopped1 eggRefined flour for coatingMethod1. Take chicken in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, salt, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic and soy sauce and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.2. To prepare garlic sauce, heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add remaining garlic and sauté for 10-15 seconds. Add ½ teaspoon chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns and salt and mix well. Add some water, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.3. Dissolve cornstarch in some water to make a smooth slurry, add and mix well. Add spring onion greens, mix and cook till it thickens.4. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.5. Break an egg in a bowl, add some water and whisk well. Set aside.6. Take refined flour in a bowl. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and remaining chilli flakes and mix well. 7. Coat marinated chicken with refined flour mixture and transfer onto a plate. Dip in egg mixture and coat with breadcrumbs. Deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.8.
