Urad Dal Chutney :

Urad Dal - 5 tbsp (50 g)
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Ginger - Little (optional)
Tamarind - Size of Chick Pea
Red Chilli - 3 or 4
Curry Leaves - A Handful
Gingelly Oil - 1 tsp
Asafoetida - A Pinch
Salt to taste



Masala Stuffing :

Oil - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Garlic - 4 pods
Ginger - Little
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1/2
Carrot
Capsicum
Boiled Potato - 1
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste


For Preparing Batter : (Rest the Batter for 20 mins)

Rava / Sooji / Semolina - 3/4 cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Poha / Aval / Flattened Rice - 2 tbsp
Water - As required
Salt to taste
