Four Types Of Upma’s
Tomato Bath Upma:
Ingredients:
Rava - 2 Cups
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Cashew nuts - 2 tsp
Ginger(chopped) - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 string
Hing - ½ tsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Onions - ¼ cup
Chillies - 1 tb spn
Tomatoes - ¼ cup
Water - As required
Oil - As required
Salt - To taste.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seeds,urad dal,cashew nuts,ginger,curry leaves,hing,turmeric,onions and saute it for sometime. Now add chillies,tomatoes,some salt , water and bring it to a boil,then add rava and keep mixing so that no lumps form in it.cook it on a medium flame.

Cashew Nut Upma:
Ingredients:
Rava - 2 Cups
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Chana Dal - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Cashew nuts - ¼ cup
Ginger(chopped) - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 string
Onions - ¼ cup
Chillies - 1 tb spn
Water - As required
Ghee - As required
Salt - To taste
Method:
Heat Ghee in a pan,add mustard seeds,urad dal,cashew nuts,ginger,curry leaves,onions and saute it for sometime. Now add chillies,some salt , water and bring it to a boil,then add rava and keep mixing so that no lumps form in it.cook it on a medium flame. Serve it hot.
Puli Upma:
Ingredients:
Rawa - 2 cups
Red chillies - 4
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Peanuts - 2 tb spn
Pepper - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 string
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Tamarind Juice - ¼ cup
Hing - ½ tsp
Salt - As required
Oil - As required
Method:
Taka rawa in a pan and dry roast it for sometime, then add water and boil it on a medium flame. In another pan add some oil,red chillies,mustard seeds,urad dal,chana dal,peanuts, Pepper and saute it for a minute. In this add curry leaves,turmeric,tamarind and adjust seasoning by adding salt and cook it on low flame. In the last add hing water and switch off the flame.

Rice Flour Upma
Ingredients:
Rice Flour - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Chana dal - 1 tsp
Red chillies - 3
Peanuts - 1 tb spn
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 string
Ginger(chopped) - 1 tsp
Onions(chopped) - ¼ cup
Salt - As required
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan add rice flour and mix it well and keep aside. Heat another pan add ghee mustard seeds,cumin seeds,chana dal,red chillies and peanuts fry it.
In this add urad dal,curry leaves,ginger,onions,some salt and rice flour and mix it nicely.
Adjust moisture by sprinkling water and switch off the flame.
