Caramel Filled Cookies Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Caramel filled cookies are a type of cookie that have a gooey caramel filling inside. The caramel filling is then placed in the center of the dough and the cookies are baked until golden brown. These cookies are known for their sweet and chewy texture, and the contrast of the soft caramel filling inside the crispy cookie.

CARAMEL FILLED COOKIES

Ingredients

Thick caramel sauce as required
cup butter
cup brown sugar
3 tbsps castor sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cups refined flour (maida)
1 tsp baking powder
tsp baking soda
3-4 tbsps milk

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
2. Take butter in a bowl. Add brown sugar, castor sugar and beat well till the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla essence and mix well. Sift refined flour, baking powder and baking soda directly in the bowl. Mix well.
4. Add milk and mix well till the mixture is formed into soft dough.
5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls. Make a dent in the centre and stuff the caramel sauce. Cover with a small portion of the dough, gather the edges and seal well.
6. Arrange on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-15 minutes.
7. Allow to cool and serve.
