Chatkhara Aloo with Spicy Raddish
Ingredients for Chatkhara Aloo:
Potatoes 1 kg
Water (for boiling) as required
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
Dried red chilies 3-4
Oil 3 tbsp
Tomatoes (chopped) 1/4 cup
Onion (chopped) 1/2 cup
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Boiled potatoes 1 kg
Ground spices 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Shan Chaat Masala 3-4 tbsp
Water as required
Green coriander as required
Green chilies (julienne) as required
Shan Chaat Masala (For sprinkle) as required

Ingredients for Spicy Radish:
Radish (julienne) 2-3
Shan Chaat Masala 3 tbsp
Onion (chopped) as required
Green coriander as required
Shan Chaat Masala (For sprinkle) as required

Directions for Chatkhara Aloo Preparation:
1. In a pot heat water and bring it to boil. Add potatoes and boil until 80% done. Take off flame, peel the potatoes and set aside.
2. In a preheated pan add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, dried red chilies and roast for 1 minute. Transfer the roasted spices into grinder and grind into a fine powder. Your ground spices are ready.
3. In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds, cook for a minute.
4. Add onion and cook until translucent. Now add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are soft.
5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Add 1/4 cup water and cook for a minute. Add boiled potatoes and mix well.
7. Add ground spices, lemon juice and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add water and cook for another minute.
8. Add Shan Chaat Masala and cook for 1-2 minutes.
9. Sprinkle coriander and green chilies on top. Your Chatkhara Aloo are ready. Garnish again with green chilies and Shan Chaat Masala.
Directions for Spicy Radish Preparation:
10. In a bowl add radish and Shan Chaat Masala and mix well.
11. Dish it out, sprinkle onion, coriander and Shan Chaat Masala again on top. Your Spicy Radish is ready. Serve it with Chatkhara Aloo and enjoy.
