These are the ideal rainy day snack and go well with any dip.CHAWAL AUR MOONG DAL KE PAKODEIngredients¼ cup leftover cooked rice (chawal)½ cup split skinless green gram (moong dal), soaked for 5-6 hoursOil for deep-frying1-2 green chillies, finely choppedSalt to taste1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leavesCrushed black peppercorns to taste1 medium onion, finely chopped1 tablespoon rice flour1 teaspoon baking sodaMethod1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.2. Grind together green gram, green chillies and salt to make a coarse paste. Transfer in a bowl and add rice, chopped coriander, crushed peppercorns and onion and mix well. Add rice flour and baking soda and mix well. 3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into pakoras.4. Deep-fry each pakora in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 5.
