Cheese and Herb French Toast | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Bread roundels dipped in egg mixture and shallow fried, topped with grated cheese.

CHEESE AND HERB FRENCH TOAST

Ingredients

40 grams mozarella cheese
2-3 sprigs fresh parsley
100 ml milk
4 eggs
8 white bread slices
Salt to taste
Crushed black peppercorns to taste
Oil for shallow-frying
Tomato ketchup for serving

Method

1. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out discs from the bread slices.
2. Break eggs in a bowl. Add milk, salt and crushed peppercorns.
3. Chop parsley and add to the bowl. Mix well.
4. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan.
5. Dip the bread discs in the egg mixture, place on the pan and shallow-fry till golden from both the sides.
6. Grate mozarella cheese over the bread slices and cover till the cheese melts.
7. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
