When I did not have cake pop maker, I used to bake cheese balls in the oven. The shape did not come out exactly round and sometimes, they would get opened if not sealed properly. But now, it's lot of fun to prepare cheese balls using cake pop maker. Even if you use cake pop maker, make sure cheese balls are sealed properly and that they do not get cracked otherwise your cake pop maker will be spoiled and will take lot of time to clean.
