Olives stuffed with cheese mixture dipped into batter and deep fried.

CHEESE STUFFED OLIVES

Ingredients

¼ cup grated processed cheese
20-24 green olives, pitted
Oil for deep-frying
2 tablespoons cream cheese
Salt to taste
2 teaspoons dried mixed herbs
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
5-6 garlic cloves, chopped
1 egg
½ cup refined flour
½ cup breadcrumbs

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in akadai
2. Combine processed cheese, cream cheese, salt, mixed herbs, chilli flakes and garlic in a bowl and mix well.
3. Stuff the olives with the cheese mixture.
4. Break the egg in a bowl, add a few drops of water and beat well.
5. Coat the stuffed olives with the flour, dip in beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumbs. Dip them once again in beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumbs.
6. Deep-fry the prepared stuffed olives in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
7. Serve hot.

Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes
Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes
