A simple parantha with a great combination of potatoes and carrot that blend really well together with a delicious cheesy hint!

CHEESY ALOO CARROT PARANTHA

Ingredients

2 tbsps grated processed cheese
1 small potato, boiled, peeled and mashed
1 small carrot, boiled
Ready-made dough made from 1 cup whole wheat flour
A pinch of coriander powder
A pinch of cumin powder
A pinch of dry mango powder (amchur)
Salt to taste
Whole wheat flour for dusting
4 tsps homemade white butter/ghee as required
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. Take potato in a large bowl, grate carrot into it, add coriander powder, cumin powder, dry mango powder, salt and cheese and mix well.
2. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Dust worktop with flour and roll out each ball into a thick disc. Stuff with a portion of potato-carrot mixture, seal the edges and roll into a small parantha.
3. Heat a non-stick tawa. Place the parantha on it, cook till the underside is almost cooked. Flip and cook till the other side is almost cooked.
4. Apply 1 tsp white butter/ghee and cook, turning sides, till both the sides are completely cooked.
5. Serve with tomato ketchup.
