These donuts are topped with a cheesy sauce and are totally irresistible. Try this savoury version in your kitchen!

CHEESY DONUTS

Ingredients

2 cups + 1½ tbsps refined flour
Salt to taste
2 tsps sugar
1 tsp activated dried yeast
2 tbsps butter
1½ cups milk
½ cup grated processed cheese
Oil for deep frying
Red chilli flakes to sprinkle
Dried mixed herbs to sprinkle
Chopped fresh parsley to sprinkle

Method

1. Take 2 cups refined flour in a bowl. Add salt, sugar, yeast, 1cup water and knead to soft dough. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes
2. Dust some refined flour on the surface and knead the dough little bit. Roll into a thick sheet.
3. Cut with round cookie cutter and further cut the centre with the help of a small cookie cutter. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
4. Heat butter in a nonstick pan. Add remaining refined flour and mix well.
5. Add milk and whisk well. Add cheese and mix well.
6. Deep fry the prepared donuts till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
7. Drizzle prepared cheese sauce on fried donuts. Sprinkle red chilli flakes, dried mixed herbs and parsley.
8. Serve.
