Boiled penne pasta tossed in onion tomato masala with mild indian spices.CHEESY INDIAN PASTAIngredients2 cups boiled penne pastaProcessed cheese as required 1 tablespoon butter½ tablespoon oil1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)1 medium onion, finely chopped1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste1 large tomato, finely choppedSalt to taste¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 teaspoon cumin (jeera) powder1 teaspoon coriander powder1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves + for garnishing 1 tablespoon tomato puree ½ teaspoon garam masala powderMethod1. Heat butter and oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and onions, mix and sauté till onions are slightly browned. 2. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix. Add tomato and mix. Add salt, mix well, cover and cook till the tomatoes turn soft and pulpy. 3. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder and mix well. 4. Add some water, coriander leaves and tomato puree, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. 5. Add pasta and mix. Add garam masala powder and mix well. 6. Transfer pasta in a serving bowl, grate some cheese on top, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
