Bhavnagri mirchis stuffed with spicy chicken mince and batter fried.

CHICKEN BHARWAN MIRCH

Ingredients

250 grams chicken mince
8-12 Bhavnagri mirch
Oil for deep-frying
¾ cup gram flour
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Combine gram flour, ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder and salt in a bowl. Add some water and whisk well to make a smooth batter.
3. Combine chicken mince, onion, remaining turmeric powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, green chillies, chopped coriander and salt in another bowl and mix well.
4. Slit each mirch without cutting through and deseed.
5. Stuff each mirch with some chicken mixture. Coat each stuffed mirch with prepared batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
6. Serve hot.
