Is it possible to make Chicken Biryani in Rice Cooker? Yes, it is not only possible but also very convenient and a quick way to make Chicken Biryani at home. Let me show you how to make Chicken Biryani in a Rice Cooker. Given below is the Chicken Biryani recipe.

Ingredients:
500 gms Chicken
400 gms Basmati Rice
1 cup Curd
1 cup Mint leaves (Pudina)
1 cup chopped Coriander leaves
2 cups fried Onions
5 Cardamom
5 Cinnamon sticks
5 Cloves
1 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Garam masala
1/4 cup Oil
2 tsp Ghee
Salt to taste
1 tsp Cumin
3 Green Chillies
2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 tbsp Lime juice
2 Bay leaves
1 Star Anise

Method: In a bowl, mix together 3 Cardamom, 3 Cinnamon, 3Cloves, 1 tsp Cumin, 3 slit Green Chillies, 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste, Curd, 1 cup fried Onions, 1/2 cup Coriander leaves, 1/2 cup Pudina, 1 tsp Salt, Red Chilli powder, Garam masala and 1/2 tsp Turmeric. Combine well. Put in Chicken pieces and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Boil water in the Rice Cooker or a large vessel. Add 1 tsp Salt, Bay Leaves, Star Anise, 2 Cardamom, 2 Cinnamon, 2 Cloves and soaked Rice. Cook the rice till it is 70% done. Drain and cool.
Switch on the Rice Cooker and add oil. Put in the marinated Chicken, close the lid and cook till the Chicken is done. Switch off the Rice Cooker and spread fried Onions, Coriander & Pudina leaves and a layer of Rice. Pour a tsp of Ghee and Turmeric water. Then repeat the process till the Rice and fried Onions are finished. Cover the Rice Cooker with foil, close the lid, switch it on and cook for 15 minutes. Chicken Biryani is ready. Serve piping hot.
