Chicken Biryani Recipe

Ingredients for Rice

1 KG basmati rice
2 litres water
Salt as required
2 bay leaf
2 green cardamom
4 black pepper corn
4 cloves

Chicken Biryani Preparation Method

- Soak Chicken in Salt Water for 30 Mins

- Soak Basmati Rice in Water for 30 Mins

After 30 mins follow below procedure

- In a pot of boiling water add dry spices and add rice and start cooking. please ensure it does not cook fully

- In a pan heat oil and ghee and once it heats well, add dry spices and saute for 1-2 mins

- Add 2 onions thinly sliced and let it cook down

- Add 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste, saute for 1-2 mins

- Add Chicken and mix well

- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

- Add 1 tsp red chilli powder

- Add 2 TBS coriander powder

- Add 1 TBS Cumin Powder

- Add 2 TBS Biryani Masala

- Add 1 tsp Kasuri Methi

- Add Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

- Mix Well and cook Chicken pieces nicely

- Add Half quantity of the Rice which must be cooked around 60% - 70% over the chicken

- Add coriander, mint, biryani masala and ghee

- Cover the pan and let it cook

- In few mins remaining Rice must be cooked around 90% - 95%. Make Second layer of the rice

- Add coriander, mint, biryani masala and ghee

- Cover the Pan and and on Medium Heat cook for 10 mins and on slow heat for 30 mins

- Garnish it with fried onions, fresh mint and fresh onion.

- Chicken Biryani is ready to be served
