Ingredients
1. Chicken Curry - 1/2 Kg
2. Rice - 2 Cups (1/2 Kg)
3. Cardamoms - 3
4. Shahjeera - 1/2 Teaspoon
5. Cloves - 4-5
6. Cinnamon Sticks - 2-3 Small Sticks
7. Bay Leaves - 2
8. Brown Onions - 1/2 Cup
9. Mint Leaves - 1/2 Cup
10. Coriander Leaves - 1 Cup
11. Salt - To Taste

Soak rice for 1/2 hour at least
Here I used basmati rice; normal rice also could be used
We need to prepare rice first
Fill the bowl up to more than half with water
Add whole garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon oil and close lid
Let the water boil
Add 2 sliced green chillies to the water
Drain off the water from the soaked rice, add the rice to boiling water, close lid and cook
Stir in between and cook till it cooks for up to 70 percent
Drain off the water
Take a pan with thick base
Spread 1 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee) on the base of the pan
Spread the leftover chicken curry on the base
Add chilli powder, salt if necessary
Add 1/2 cup water
Add a layer of fried brown onions on top of it
Add fenugreek leaves and coriander leaves
Add the cooked rice, left over brown onions and leaves
Spread 1-2 tablespoons of clarified butter (ghee) on to
Seal the lid and cook on high flame for 5 minutes
Put another pan below the biryani pan after 5 minutes
Cook for 5 minutes on high flame
Cook for 5 minutes on low flame
Open the lid after 10 minutes
Serve hot
