Chicken Burger Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Today, in a fresh new episode of Family Food Tales, I will make Chicken Burger for our daughter the way she likes it and of course with my touch and my familys preferences too. So here I will show you how to make a Chicken Burger, that has lots of cheese and butter but only a little mustard and no tomatoes, because she likes it this way. I like lots of coriander and all us at home love garlic. Nevertheless, you can always add your choicest vegetables and condiments. The result will always be yummy. Happy Cooking!

CHICKEN BURGER

Ingredients

400 grams chicken mince
4 whole wheat burger buns
4-5 tbsps oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 tsp finely chopped green chilli
Black pepper powder to taste
1 tbsps finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
1 tbsp butter
Dried breadcrumbs for coating
Butter for applying
Mustard paste for applying
Mayonnaise as required
Iceberg lettuce leaves as required
Cheese slices as required
Caramelised onion as required
French fries to serve
Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

1. Heat 1 tbsps oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and saut till translucent. Transfer into a bowl and allow to cool slightly.
2. Take chicken mince in a large bowl, add salt, garlic, green chilli and black pepper powder and mix well. Add coriander leaves and sauted onion and mix well.
3. Add butter and mix till well combined.
4. Dip your fingers with some water and take a portion of the mixture and shape it into a patty.
5. Take breadcrumbs in a large plate. Coat the patty with the breadcrumbs.
6. Heat remaining oil in a non-stick tawa, place the patty on it and cook for 3-4 minutes. Flip the patty and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes as well.
7. To assemble the burger, slit the burger bun in half. Apply some butter on one side of each half. Apply some mustard paste, and some mayonnaise on one side of each half. Arrange some lettuce leaves on one half, place the patty on it and arrange a cheese slice, add some caramelised onion and place the other half of the bun over it.
8. Serve with French fries and tomato ketchup.
